  1. Hello everyone.

I've been cycling for about 4 years total, with a 2 year break for rehab for a shattered wrist/arm from a cycling accident I had.

I've never been one for the traditional method, I kinda wing it and see how things go. But I'm gonna be trying to organize my training to maximize this year.

What I've started doing is getting my gear..lol I bought a Cycling computer that's all in "japanese" Yay..Not helpful but does provide nice information to atleast base my status off of till I buy one that exports data into english.

So to begin my weekly riding looks like this.

Mon - 50km ride @ average speed of 25km/h + Zone 4 heart rate of roughly 150bpm I try and stay at 30km/h atleast but I'm not cocky enough to claim I can keep that pace on all the hills and with traffic it lowers my speed. So that's a good conservitive number. I struggle to keep a zone 4 HPM think that is because I've not been cycling for a while..lol But I can certainly feel that when I keep it controlled I ride better of course!
Tues - 25km ride @ 30km/h + focus is on speed with intervale sprinting every 5km for about 1km.
    Weds - Rest day
Thurs - 70km ride @ the normal 25km/h and goal of 30km/h. This route has more hills to assist with training on hill climbing.
Fri - 20km ride @ 30km/h + focus is on keeping the highest continual tempo possible for the entire duration of the ride
    Sat - 50km ride @ average speed of 25km/h
    Sun - Rest day

No real science to my training, I try and add miles and interval training into my daily rides. I sadly cannot afford 100km + rides to often as I don't get off work till 7pm and only have at most 2 hours a night for riding. So I try to make the best of it..lol

Well, looking forward to hearing your opinions.

    Oh yea, I ride a CAAD 9 with a complete 105 set.

  2. it is looking good, just pull on the gaz on those shorter days into higher level intervals, ok it seems you are doing that already, why do you take off sundays ? family commitments ? sunday is D day sort to speak,

I have commitments in the afternoon/evening. And I'm a terrible morning morning! lol So I do most of my riding in the afternoons/evening. I could add a less aggressive ride into the mid morning, to still allow for recovery, but not hurt the muscles enough to cause excessive breaking down of fibers.
