  1. Hello Guys! Firstly a little about myself. Born in Perth, WA, live here and born in '97. Soccer Player looking to get into cycling for fitness and fun. ON A BUDGET! I have recently discovered that cycling will be great for me since i play soccer and it is a great way to keep fit and explore the outdoors! My Dad passed an old Repco Spectra Road bike down from him to me, its a great bike, made of steal, very strong and sturdy with a nice Shimano SIS drivetrain. Road Bike wise, i also have an Indi 500 Bike Frame. (Also My Dad's) Should i make it better and use the Repco as a wet weather bike? I have been thinking of getting a better bike but since i'm new, don't know where to start! I recently read an article in UCA about the Specialized S - Works Mclaren Venge but this is well out of my budget! I have a budget of $1500 but it can vary. I have 2 Malvern Star Mustang Mountain Bikes and man they are good. I also have 2 Mongoose BMX's plus a Huffy BMX. This is a list of the manufacturers i have been considering: (In that order) Pinarello BMC
Malvern Star Please, you guys are the pros, so if you have anything for sale (WA), any manufacturers which i should consider and any information on bikes themselves then please reply! Also drivetrain wise, I will religiously ONLY HAVE SHIMANO!!! although i want to know what you guys think of campagnolo Thankyou

  2. The inspector at the heart of the public enquiry into the proposed BRT link donned his crash helmet and took a bike ride along the controversial route.and the simple, unassuming bicycle, the most efficient form of urban transportation ever invented, can be a powerful solution.

  3. For getting into better shape, brand means nothing. You can ride a cheap huffy, and while it may not hold up and the brakes may be dangerous, as far as getting in shape goes, it makes no difference if it's a walmart bike or a Venge. You can get to your aerobic threshold at 15mph on a heavy cheap bike or 18mph (whatever) on a Venge.
