Hello, im new to this world of cycling and i need advice from some people who know what they are talking about.
I need to buy my first bike in about 5 months and i would like to know what im looking for. A little about me: I love the outdoors and do plenty of swimming and running as i can and i am interested in cycling to. im very wiry and tall, about 6 ft and growing.
I need a a bike that can handle a bit of nature trails, nothing to bad like going up a mountain but i also want to cycle as in triathlons and such. Also i will of course be using this bike to go places a lot such as school and social gatherings.
174 views and not one reply... i have figured out i want a "hybrid" but now i just need to know what im looking for. I am completely new to cycling so buying bikes is hard enough. Also i have a price range of about 250$ (USD) max. I just need something that isnt a walmart chinese piece of junk and something that is for a new rider to.

Hi there
I don't think you'll find a bike that suitable for both nature trails and tri's. With a max budget of $250, I would suggest looking for a second hand road bike. With a bit of effort, you should be able to pick up a good quality 4 - 6 year old bike, it may need some maintenance, but thats half the fun of owning bikes anyway
