  1. My new T-Bolt arrived yesterday. Since there are no dealers within 80 miles of here it was sent to
    my house, unassembled.

Took me all day to put it together-I am *not* a bicycle mechanic. I had to laugh when I read the
assembly instructions. Two thirds of one page. Ten sentences. Seven steps. Step1 was to unpack the
bike and step 7 was to recheck my work. That left 5 steps for the actual assembly instructions. They
might as well have said " Unpack bike, assemble bike, check your work--go get 'em Tiger!" I managed
    to muddle through.

I noticed the chain line pulls off to the right from the crank. So when the chain is on either of
the two smaller rings, it rubs against the next larger ring--not hard enough to make a clatter, but
it does make a noise. The crankset is parallel to the rear wheel so it should be lined up correctly.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is it something I should be concerned about?

I thought I might have been a little ambitious getting a T-bolt for my first bent when I almost
dumped it half a dozen times trying to get started. I still hadn't left my driveway. But finally got
it rolling and got a little bit of a handle on the starting technique. I also got some first hand
experience with the heel-on-the-wheel thing while practicing slow turns in a parking lot. *That* was
a hoot. Anyway, it didn't take too long to get smoothed out enough to do a little actual riding, but
I'm still kinda wobbly, especially at slow speeds. Also I must still have to get some practice
relaxing my upper body since I got some soreness in the back of my neck and shoulders.

One other thing--I thought I screwed up the wheel size on the computer. I was just riding along
when I looked at the speedo. I thought "This can't be right. I can't possibly be going this fast".
    But I was. 🙂

There should be no conflict with the chain and the next ring. Is the boom/crank aligned
vertically? If the Chainrings are not in the same plane as the rear cogs, then what you are
    describing could be possible.

It this can be rulled out, I would check to see if the frame is aligned properly. It might have
gotten bent in shipment. Also You might want to phone Tim at LCD for clarification on the assembly.

Since the bike is expected to be assembled by a LBS, 7 assembly instructions are probably overkill.
But then, you should have seen the instructions for packing my Voyager in its case. Including 4
    black on black pictures.

  3. Hey, Ed: Congratulations on being a published writer. I saw your reasonable assessment of the
semi-recumbent in the new RCN. You're famous!
