Thanks for all the advice in previous post on pedals. I chased up the links that Travis provided and then rang the Rebel Sport in Perth and managed to get a hold of the manager Shane. I mentioned Travis's name and he sold me the last pair of size 48 Pearl Izumi Road Vipers for $189 and he put them in the post that afternoon after taking credit card details over the phone ($12 for postage).
Now I just need to decide on pedals and at this stage I am leaning towards the Look Keos as they seem to offer pretty good value for money and I have been happy with Look pedals in the past......now I just got to make sure I get them at a good price.

You bought the last 48s?! I was gonna keep checking in to see if they were eventually going to clear them out even more cheaply, and I'd get them as spares!

Enjoy your new Vipers, they're *really* nice shoes. You'll like the laces in particular... I wanna get Pearl Izumi boas on all my shoes now... :-)
