  1. Well, I have officially retired the Marin Quake to the side of the garage. A Jamis Dakar XC Comp now
has the position of honor on the Park Work stand.

Two rides on it so far and so far it's unbelievable. It's also my first full suspension. I have to
say I'll probably be running the Marin as much as the Dakar. I still love my HT.

That's right Gunny, don't ever forget your old friends. BTW, I just got word back from the 50th
Anniversary CCT Reunion and it sounded like a blast. Yup, don't forget those old friends.

Mission focus. Give me mission oriented people and I'll give you a plan that will work. Old friends,
new hard charging Captains, and a few salty SNCO's. I got some guys in Baghdad right now doing good
things and shaking things up. A few others doing bad things in Tanzania (don't ask). They have
mission focus. Killing bad guys and making others down right uncomfortable. They are carrying allot
of freight these days. CCT Reunion huh? Where do they hold those? Some deserted island in the Red
Sea? BTW, I have a friend who is a retired Air Force E-9 HIS name is Kimberley and you DON'T make
fun of his name. I do though.......................... He works with me as a civilian now doing some
"spooky" shiite. He gives me a ration and I give it back. We have a blast but most people think
we're just nuts. There is also a retired Navy Warrant in my shop. He knows more dirty words than I
ever knew existed. He's a trip. We talk about riding and bikes and stuff but they don't get it. That
reminds me. I just got an Army WO-2 on my team. He just told me Friday that he had a Giant in Korea
and he and the bike fell off a cliff! He got banged up but the bike didn't make it. I asked him if
he still rides he said not since he got married. I have to get that kid a
    bike..........................

My HT has a Gunny chevron super glued to the handle bar riser. She's not going anywhere.
