When I contacted RANS for a replacement seat mesh for my 2002 Vivo, I found that they have a new
version of the mesh that includes a pocket, positioned inside the seat structure at the top. I've
been using the new mesh for a few days now, and find that the pocket easily holds everything I used
to carry in a separate pack, including tools, small pump, spare tube, etc. Also, the sides of the
seat, where it wraps around the side seat tube, are covered with a layer of material which will help
protect the underlying mesh from damage during a fall. The new mesh is secured to the frame using
buckles and straps to tension the material, so no more struggling with heavy duty plastic ties. All
in all, a much improved seat.
