new here...

hi to everyone. i have been riding mountain bike for years..with 1380 miles on that bike. i just got my first ride bike. i could not afford a thousand dollar bike just yet so i got one off of ebay. its a yukon road bike. probably alot of you have not heard of it. i got that from the local bike shop when i took it in for a look over after i got it together. anyways, i cant wait for better weather to ride. i have 80 miles on it already. i ride in the winter also. i have learned that riding a lighter bike means that the wind pushes you around a lot more then on the heavier mountain bike. i m riding in my first group ride in may. i usually ride by myself since i dont know many people in my area (east tn) that cycle. i just got my cycling shorts and jersey and this week going to get shoes and pedals for them. i would love to ride the blue ridge parkway, the whole thing, someday. i hope i learn alot from the people here.
