Hey all, new guy here. My name is Nick and I am just starting to become addicted to biking. I purchased a Giant Boulder SE last year and have finally gotten around to riding at a steady clip. I have noticed that I get a sharp pain in the front of my lower leg, almost feels like shin splints? I lowered my seat a bit halfway through my ride this evening and it actually made a slight difference.
Also the front fork suspension on my bike leaks a bit of grease and I seriously need new pedals, feet keep slipping off! Any suggestions?
I've also noticed a noise coming from my gears/not shifting so smooth. I brought my bike in to be tuned and they said everything is fine, is it normal to have some "gear noise"? Thanks!
Hello, I'm also new here in this forum. I've been cycling for about 8 yrs. Recently also started cycling after 4 years break. I did experience pain at first but mine is on the knee. After applying ointment that i get from pharmacy the pain goes away gradually. I still continue to cycle and apply the ointment when ever there is pain. after about 2 mths the pain goes away.
If a suspension leaks, it's not a good sign, probably there is a hole/crack that needs to be patched. If the gears are tuned correctly, there should not be any noise. Try taking your bike to be tuned in another bike shop.
