Gaz,
You might have a look to ensure that the noise is not the largest cog
in the cassette rubbing on the drive side spokes. Somtimes a spacer is
required behind largest cog.
If it's not, you should be able to remove the freehub from the hub body
by removing the axle and bearings, and unscrewing the freehub from the
hub with a 10mm (I think) Allan key inserted from the drive side. You
may be able to fit your old freehub, or another freehub onto the hub
body and try it out to ensure that it really is the freehub.
If it really is a faulty freehub, I'd suggest contacting them first and
letting them know what you intend to do.
Roseversand were very straightforward about a return I made to them
earlier this year. As I'd ordered the wrong thing, I had to pay return
postage, but no restocking fee or other nonsense like that. I got an
email from them letting me know when they'd received the return, and
the refund was credited to my CC the same day. They were a pleasure to
deal with.
