New bike - need advice

I'm interested in doing off road cycling sometimes exceeding 5 hours at a time with the option to occasionally also ride on the road. I've managed to narrow my choice down to GT Avalanche 1.0, Wheeler 5900 and Merida Speed Disc. Suggestions on what bike to choose and possibly other options worth considering in the same price range will be appreciated. Vaughan 😕
