Okay, I've done more research. What is your opinion of the Fuji road
bike? Steel. Slanted top bar. These are what I am looking for.
Components? Ride comfort? Able to carry panniers? I am really intersted
in hearing from someone that has done a lot of touring (road/off road)
with the bike.
