Michael has a new bike, a Giant Boulder. So we took it for a trundle to Pangbourne along the offroad tracks, and very capable it (and he) proved. The Schwalbe Marathons we fitted in deference to its intended use as school transport proved less than perfect in 4" deep mud, though.
