I've lived in a rent-controlled apartment in San Francisco for 10 years, and last week I asked for a new fridge. This week they brought it to me. How's that for service?
Now I have a frost-free freezer 4 times bigger than the last one. I used to shirk any recipe that required freezing as part of the process, and I'd have to make smaller quantities of things if there was no room in the ice box.
It's a thrill.
To celebrate, I'm looking for some frozen dessert recipes. Or anything involving preparation or processing somehow in the freezer. I'm also looking for advice. What shouldn't be frozen? How long do things last? Can I freeze herbs?
