I need to replace my Air Walker cycling shoes. I'm looking for shoes that it is practical, at least for short periods, to walk in. That's not hard to find. It is hard to find wide cycling shoes, however. The best thing I've found so far as SIDI Dominators, but those are more than I really want to pay. Does anyone know of other brands and models that are made for wider feet? I couldn't possibly wear Shimano shoes. I've been told at two stores that Shimano makes wide mountain shoes but I've never seen any. Also, they need to be able to accept Speedplay Frog cleats. Thanks.
Lake makes them in 2E width. I have a pair, size 48 and they work pretty well for me Model Number is MX-101X. I bought mine from a shop in Clear Lake, IA which will do mail order if your interested. FWIW, I wish I'd seen your post yesterday - Nasbar had the $230 Dominators on sale for $190 less 20% coupon, net $152 (and in my case, I had a $100 gift card from opening a Visa card account with Charles Schwab, and a $30 gift cert from my girls at the LBS (meaning $30 I wouldn't have to spend at Nashbar/Perf), so my net was $22 (ok, there was tax and shipping, lol). But the sale and the coupon code died today. Wait around for the next deal.
