  1. Hi there, first let me tell you i am a newbie to exercising. I haven't
exercised for god knows how long and now i regret it. I have slowly
progressed form walking to jogging now, and have been doing a few
weightless exercises as well. What I notice now are my joints, elbows
and knees they make this loud cracking noise and that worries me. It
has become pretty obvious since i started exercising. Example: My knees
will pop when i squat down or do a lunge. Is that normal does everyone
experience this during their initial stages of exercise?

A really good skill to nuture is the ability to listen to your body.
Does it hurt? Does it hurt in a BAD way? Do you suspsect you ought to
stop? What do your instincts say?

I don't personally see anything wrong with a body making creaky sounds.
But if it's accompanied by sharp pain, if putting weight on the joint
hurts, if it aches at night as you lie in bed... these are problems.

There are other kinds of pain that aren't so bad: the stitch in your
side, a muscle cramp, Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) a few days
after using muscles in unusual ways... this is good pain and probably
    not worth stopping over.

But you're not even asking about pain, you're just asking about noise.
Yes, bodies make noise. What do YOU think?

    MORE FOOD!"

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried butt sex from my
neighbours, and became the victim of AIDS. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in full blown (pun intended) AIDS. I now need a boner
transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a boner
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a boner donor:

  5. Thank you all for the feedback. David thanks for the site, quite
informative. Dally, as far as pain is concerned well its minimal, but
its there. Its not really that painful but it does hurt when I put
pressure on my knees. Havent had any severe pain or aches so I am
hoping that there is nothing serious. Well I assumed that all joints
are similar, like how we normally crack our knuckles and when you try
to crack it again it won't. But with my knees lets say if squat 10
times, at least 5 times there's a crack so thats when I started getting
concerned. So based on your theory if it hurts real bad then get
worried if not just do it!! ;P
I never realised how weak I am till yesterday, i cant even do a single
    pushup!!! AAARRRGHHH!!
Going off balance pretty quick as well....indicative of my weak core
muscles. Looks like I have a lot of work to do to get back in shape!!!

    Anand
