A friend of mine has a foot problem. He asked his doctor for pediplast. His doctor gave him a prescription saying "oh you can get this anywhere." Trouble is you can't get it anywhere. It's hard to find and the places that have it only sell to doctors. Does anyone have any experience with pediplast?
We could use advice about how to find a place that will sell it to someone with just a prescription or a doctor who would proxy the purchase. Some other solution for getting pediplast to the patient would be OK too. We are located in the Washington DC Metro area
Was this a podiatrist or orthopedist? If not, try one of them. Maybe even a physical therapist? Or try finding an online source. Or go back to the doctor and tell hime the problem and ask him to order it. bj

Yeah, I found it readily available on the Internet. (Believe me, I am an expert in foot paraphernalia.) Here's one place. And thanks for the lead... looks like something I might look into.

Podiatrist.

Thanks. By orthopedist do you mean orthopedic surgon?

Or try finding an online source.
Even the online sources are very scarce and I have yet to find one that will sell to a consumer with a prescription. They sell only if you have a DEA license.

Thanks. BTW the doctor is a "her" 🙂

Yes. I know one in the DC area who specializes in feet & ankles, maybe you can find one like that.

Fine with me. Several of my doctors, though not my orthopedist or podiatrist, are women. Best wishes. bj
