Need knowledgeable advice on what school to attend.

the only suggestion I have is that if you want to go to med
school in cali you should go to uc berkeley. i never heard
of harvey mudd... which makes me think it's not super good.
So I'd pick one of the latter 2. And, I would base the
decision of which you like better, not so much on med school
placement. In addition, you should really take into
consideration at which school you will do better in because
your grades'll matter. And how well you do i think probably
also has to do with how happy you are, how the professors
are, your learning preferences. Also, there's quite a bit of
weather difference between them. Not sure how much that
mnatters to you.

It doesn't matter...

Seriously.

Get good grades, enjoy learning, get involved in activities
which demonstrate that you can be a "well-rounded" person,
connect with a professor or two.

Your choice of college should be determined by where you
think that YOU can accomplish these goals most effectively--
small campus/large campus, private school/state school,
close to home/far from home, etc.

Is it possible if I could find out where you folks did your
undergraduate and medical school training.

So essentially I like both cornell and berkeley, and harvey
mudd is out of consideration, so the decision comes to those
two, campus wise I like cornell, but to me it seems there
are more research opportunities at berkeley and overall more
opportunities.

What do you guys think.

Do you want to spend the next 4 years in California or New
York? End of story.

I did my BA (psychology), PhD (neuroscience), and MD at the
University of Minnesota; psychiatry residency and addiction
fellowship at the University of Michigan. I am about ready
to get a "real job" now...
