Need help with Master Cook 6.0

I tried it out and it worked fine...
I opened a new recipe and called it techs in an existing cookbook called
appetizers, then I selected the directions tab and wrote in "this is a
test" in the provided lined space. I saved it and it worked ok. It
displays in "Veiw" a little weird, but in "edit" it looks ok.

I like to enter the name of a recipe from a cookbook, the cookbook and
page number plus any of my changes.... Saves me typing in the whole thing
untill I'm completely happy with the recipe and can call it mine. I do
the same in NYC.

Perhaps it is that you are in the note section and not the direction
section. Check out the tabs just below the ingredients section...there's
directions, notes, catagory serving ideas etc...

MC 6 allows cut and paste entry perhaps that's the route for you. Import
assisstant...don't forget to mark things like title & directions using
the drop down box at the bottom.

First of all, I wrote a lousy explanation of the problem. What I should
have said:
I often cut and paste the cooking techniques of others using Word Pad. I
edit them, add my own comments, etc., then "Select All", "Copy" and paste
to Import Assistant. That's when I've always had the problem of having the
directions finish up in the Ingredients section.

However - brilliant thought - "when all else fails, check the manual", which
gives a clear description of what to do. It's all contained in the last
paragraph of your post, above - and it worked. I hadn't been paying any
attention to the dropdown box, Alan.
