  1. What do you call the kind of sensation that the noses get
when they get punched or when water gets in there while
    diving?

When the noses get punched the kind of sensation they get is annoying,
bothersome, galling, irksome, irritating, nettlesome, provoking,
troublesome, and vexatious. Ditto when water gets in there when diving.

I admit I tried to find something The Meaning of Liff (it seemed something
likely to find there) and came up short.
