I have ridden a few long distance events including the gran fondo campagnalo, etape etc. My main limiting factor is nausea after about 50 miles or so by 80-90-100 miles I cannot take any fuel on board. Is it possible to fuel the whole thing on gels and sports drinks such as GO (it is solid food I have trouble with). Also I can carry gels but am not that keen on carrying drink powder - any advice

Sounds like you need to do a better job in your pre ride diet - taking in the correct levels the week leading into the ride, then a smart pre ride meal, correct nutrition during, and a replenishing program for the post ride deal. -

Generally speaking, 6 to 3 days out, increase your proteins and good fats, the last 3 days, increase carbs and eat more and smaller meals.
Hope this helps
