  1. Hi All,

Here's a description of a trail near Panama City that some friends rode, but they didn't catch the
name. Can anyone tell me about it?

...along Hwy 98 west of Panama City Beach. I don't think it had a name, though we saw occasional
signs stating the trail rules. It's only about 25 miles long now--and growing--we were watching the
construction to extend it as we rode.

It was fun, as the trail took us through all the new fancy "planned" beach communities, complete
with beach-side town squares with their "New Orleanesque" balconies with upscale restaurants &
    shopping, brick streets, etc.

We felt like extras in some Hollywood movie scene--it was fun gawking at the pretty rich people
strolling around, and watching them politely pretend they didn't notice us...

If you have a name and/or a web site, that would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. The locals (that's me) call it "30-A". pretty cool ride, if you are into multi-use paths. Great
place for people watching with a CLWB. There are many stories of hostility between motor vehicle
traffic and cyclists, if you try to ride on the road though. You could search "beaches of south
Walton" for web sites I guess. Enjoy, Mark C. Shalimar, Florida
