  1. Cycling across London tonight, three times I was cycling alongside and
    keeping up with a car/taxi when the lights turned red. All three times
    and and other cyclists stopped and the cars/taxis accelerated to get
    through, crossing on red. On a fourth one I did an experiment and went
    over well into the amber phase. The car following followed me through
    on a red.

    Thinking about it I know realise I have been reading it wrongly all this
    time when motorists have said "You see lots of cyclists going through on
    a red light" It would remove the confusion if they were to change the
    order to "Going through on a red light you see lots of cyclists" ;-)
