Alberto Contador aimed to win grand tours. In the 2007
Tour d'France he aimed to win the best young rider
championship. He raced hard from his start in the
prologue. He rode hard in the mountains trying to put
time in the competition, all the competition. That he
won a grand tour earlier than expected is happenstance.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
