  1. I accidentally purchased the 22mm Velox rim tape instead of 17mm. I installed it anyway on my Reynolds Forty Six carbon clincher, and everything seems fine. I'm just wondering if I will experience any issues using the 22mm instead of 17mm. Probably not, considering the tire mounted fine and I rode about 30 miles on it already.

    I was just wondering. Thanks

  2. If it works, it works. Too wide rim tape is mainly an issue with rims with a tight fit just below the bead hook. A tight fit there can cause the settling bead to pull the tape out of position.
