My mate [censored] Thompson of Charnwood CTC died on Friday night (23rd). Not cycling related, it was cancer. He lead the club run on the previous Sunday. He has helped me in so many ways in the 10 years I have known him. There is no one else I know who would turn up at my house with a plan for re-positioning a 10ft X 10 ft summerhouse that had floated away in a flood. He practically kept our section going, organising the runs, and various other holidays. He will be sorely missed. --
