I have a question for you. I was at a local dealer looking at an Aura V in a size XL. Really nice frame and it seems to be a pretty good fit (although I'm not used to the compact geometry) but not quite the parts spec that I'd expect for The price. However I'm sure the frame is well worth upgrading.
Anyway, do you know what the difference is between the Aura an the Q-Pro? I mean aside from the obvious standard vs. compact geometry. Any info would be appreciated. I can't afford the Q-Pro but I'm considering the Aura V.

Correction, it was a 61cm Aura V. Not an XL (that was a different bike).

Main differences are the compact geometry and the fork - Q-Pro has the beefier Klein Aeros fork. Components on the Aura line are more economical too.

Speaking of, Scott, could you refer to my post above? About the headset? I'm sure my builder is going to have this figured out, but I could use some peace of mind. What do you think?
Lokstah - I intended to have a look at my bike last night after work but I got all involved with the new fridge we had delivered to the house and I forgot.
Just to be clear, you're talking about looking up into the bottom of the head tube and you're wondering if there should be a seal there that hides the lower bearing? Seems to make sense but I can't say for sure. I don't see anything about that in the Tech Manual and Klein's changed to a little bit more conventional headset that uses the star fangled nut which is different from mine, but I'll try to look tonight anyway.

Thanks for both replies, drewski. Regarding the routing... I sent it off to my builder so quickly, I haven't seen it or had the chance to examine it closely for several days. I've got no clue. Once it's all built up, it should make sense to me. DiabloScott, Capwater or Rosso could tell ya.
As for the exposed lower bearings... that sure sounds weird. It's reassuring to know that others may have the same thing, I supose...
The rear brake cable runs from the left lever to the right side of the top tube, then comes out the left side of the top tube close to where it enters the rear brake caliper. I suppose you could route it from the right lever but it would be a more extreme curve for the housing to take.
Scott, Drewski, my builder just exchanged a few messages with Klein and everything is apparently in order... it looks how this incarnation is supposed to look.
Build is done. I'll pick it up this afternoon -- only thing yet to do is wrap the bar. Pictures verrrrry soon!

Hah, a funny subject. I've been so fixated on the color choices for this bike; I bought 3 tapes to see which would look best. I actually lost sleep on the subject.
I warbled between Cinelli Lux, in white with a silver stripe; Deda Carbon, in silver; and the Velo which joins a blue strip and a black strip via white stitching.
They all looked... almost right. I think I picked the right one. We'll see. Stay tuned for full build pictures.
As for Diablo and the Pimavera, that's a real possibility -- we'll see how good I can get my legs feeling in the next few weeks. I'm a spry lad but I've been swamped lately; I'm a sluggo on the bike right now. Wouldn't want to embarrass myself, ya know.
