.... for what it's worth, I feel like sharing. I've had a nasty cold
virus for the past week - rattling cough, runny nose, fatigue, etc.
It's improving (slowly). Energy levels are shot, and the great part is
I have *also* developed a painful back spasm (a bad one) that started
the same time as the cold. Which is suprising, considering I haven't
had a back spasm in literally years, and I've dropped about 55 pounds
besides... shouldn't that *help* *prevent* back problems????
So, I'm cranky, I haven't excercised in over a week, and I feel like
an old man. I'm also popping Aleves (3-4 a day), problem is, I found
out you need to take this stuff on an empty stomach or else queasiness
sets in.
Good news is I haven't "slipped" and eaten carbs (it's like I'm
talking about drugs or something), I'm still enjoying the foods I eat
and sticking to plan, and that's great. But [censored] do I feel like [censored].
Tips? Home remedies? Similar stories? Encouraging words? I got myself
a "moist heat pack" for my back, which seems to help (as long as I'm
wearing it). It's still bad though, and if it's getting better, it
seems only to be doing it veeeeery slowly.
Really, this is quite a contrast. Two weeks ago I was doing my
typical routine, 25-30 miles a week of running, feeling healthy, and
now here I am. Arrrrgggggg.
