  1. finally, it happened.

i had a slew of excuses. now i have the equipment to make a difficult
ride easier (shorts, pedals, cranks, tread). shoulda just stuck with the
bike, it's infinitely easier (just read mikefule's)

but i got on the trail, 2 and something years after i first bought the
    blasted thing.

i think i did about 2.5 miles the first one, crotch a little tingly.
lesson learned: don't race a mountain biker if:
    it's uphill,
    you're tired,
    you're a novice,
    you mind bleeding.

second one, i think i did closer to 3something miles. crotch not used to
    the weight.
lesson learned: it's easier to keep pace with a slow jogger.

overall lesson learned: it's bloody hard to go up a hill.

  2. What uni are you riding? (Wheel size, cranks etc.)

Hills become easier, and eventually the crotch becomes caloused.
Unicycling is like glue: you have to stick with it, and it's not to be
    sniffed at.
