  1. Hello everyone,

i'm completely new around here i found yeasterday this newsgroup and was
    delighted.

I'm ready to invest in my first recumbent bike, after many years of
admiring them going down streets i decided it was time for me to join.

I'm based in London and need a fast comforable way to get around, I'm
abandoning my old Vespa 50cc that after many many years of service is
    starting to fall apart.

Unfortunatelly my pockets are quite empty right now and here in London
it seems that there are no recumbents for under £1000. On ebay i found
an interesting option which is a 2000 Rams Rocket. I read around the web
and it seems to be a quite good option for a beginer. I only tried to
ride a hp velotechnik spirit and was quite impressed.

Has the rocket a good reputation in terms of durability and performance?

Will it suit me i'm quite a big guy 6'1' and 105kg?

What price should i expect to pay for this?

Thanks to everyone, i hope to get some expert advice before the auction
    ends tomorrow.

    Robin.

I really haven't a clue, but the bike looks in very good nick indeed.
I've ridden a Rocket, but only for a few minutes while test riding
loads of other recumbents. Unfortunately the model I tried was
slightly small for me, so I didn't give it much of a whirl, but the
only thing I can tell you is that this recumbent is a very established
bike. What will this go for? Really haven't a clue. £700? But in good
    nick, it most certainly is.

    Garry
