  1. I just reached my first 1000 km on the bike today. It took me 3 months but for me that's pretty good. I realize a lot of you guys probably do that in a couple of weeks to a month, but for me this was a goal and I am proud to have done it.

Had a great run today too, did 41 km in 1:38 in two stretches. I rode to work and back, with a longer run home just to get the 1000 km in. Matched my best average 25 km/h too. 🙂

Only thing that irked me a bit was an idiot that beeped his horn at me while he was behind me. I was riding in the right lane of a two lane road 1m from the shoulder clear lane on my left. Waved the idiot ahead and the fu*ker gave me the finger. 😠 Naturally I flipped him the bird right back.

Most of my rides have been early morning or weeked runs. I find the drivers at these times to be quite polite and give me plenty of room. However the jerks driving home at 5:00 PM is another matter all together. They crowd me and tend to pass a bit too close, not to mention the one I told you about already.

Anyway that's all I wanted to say.

Well done, MBN. Keep it going. On the subject of arrogant drivers, just remember that they are probably a very small vocal minority - don't let it spoil your day.

  3. HONK!!!

Congratulations .... and get used to it.

Perhaps is it time for you to get a retro mirror and wave the lingering cars to pass you?
