Interesting.... I know that guy Eric on the site... He worked at my LBS and moved to a shop in the city...
If he built your bike up you might want to go over it...
just in case.

Carla and I went into the Habitat once... Carla bumped a bike on display and some guy almost had kittens right on the spot.

Have you found any decnt shops up in there?

You are right, very cool shop. I had to stop in while visiting NYC over the holidays to get some
chain lube and a rear blinking light to replace those items stolen from my car the FIRST night in
Brooklyn. Now I wish I had not left my bike tool-box in the car overnight....

I had a freakin' blast slicing and dicing through Gotham on my SS. Much different than
Minneapolis.....

For fantasy, R&A Bicycles on 5th Ave in Park Slope. Not the friendliest guys, but they get the most
seriously pimpin' rides I've ever seen (to some very "serious" cyclists). All the over-the-top
carbon bits that give me an ooh-la-la, GRS chubby. For reality, Bicycle Station on Vanderbilt Ave
deals some new stuff (LandShark, Bianchi, Iron Horse) but mostly used. He has an insane old baby
blue Schwinn tandem track bike. Mike Rodriguez has freed my frozen seatposts, nursed my beat bikes
back to rideability, and put the sweet touch on my nice bikes.

Welcome to New York. It is almost certainly an apocryphal story, but who cares: guy in NYC puts a
sign in his car that says "No Radio". Thieves break all his car windows and leave a note that says
"Get one."
