Nobody injured or lost and the weather interruppted it's gloomy
cloudiness to put on a beaut sunny day.
Leon Vogels road bike record is still intact.
A new record was set in the canoe leg by Peter Tomczak, taking about two
minutes of the previous record, which he held.
The horse section was fast but no new records.
Swim was warmer than last year, 15 degrees, up from 12 degrees last year.
Mountain bike times were down a bit, mainly to most people missing a
crucial turn and adding some distance to their ride. One woman destroyed
her derailluer and had to abandon.
Fastest runner just missed out on setting a new record by 6 seconds. He
did a time of 36 min 46 secs for the cross country course. he said his
legs weren't very fresh and with a bit more rest before the event he
could have broken the record.
The fastest 5 stage Ironman beat the fastest 5 stage team!
Sean O'Neill being faster by about 2 minutes.
Overall a great day. Thanks to all that came, and to those that helped out.
