I have discoverd that my e-mail address is being used for junk mail. Do not open any mail that comes
to your private box from me [email hidden] - as I never send mail directly to anyone on this
list. Sorry about this, but it is beyond my control. Elaine K

You should disquise your e-mail address in your messages here. Use something like
[email hidden]. Many of the current viruses and worms harvest e-mail addresses from the
newsgroups messages. Their programs look for anything with a @ in it to send more infected
messages to."Elaine Kirkham" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

Elaine, if your email program is sending out emails on it's own - you have a virus/worm of some
sort. I suggest running a good virus scan program and cleaning it off your system. It's the only way
to get the bug to stop.Joyce

that my mails have viruses or can't get to specied accounts. The problem is that someone you know
(vaguely) gets a virus. The software then trawls through their email address book and sends mail
that looks like it came from you! The first thing to do is make sure you don't have a virus using
an up to date scanner. Then there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent this, so relax and
forget about it.Make sure that you disguise your email address on usenet and never ever put your or anyone elses
email address in clear text on usenet.Ray

She might also just be seeing her e-mail address used by a spammer to "mark" the list of e-mail
addresses. They use an innocent person's address in the From and Reply-to address. This
innocent person then gets all of the bounce messages. It will take a few days for the messages
to stop coming."Joyce" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...
