  1. 1/4 cup sugar
    1 1/8 tsp salt

1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup oil...warmed in my microwave for 1 minute
    twenty-five seconds. 1:25
2 eggs warmed. I have very hot tap water that I run over the eggs. Not
    poached eggs..

2 3/4 cups I use only King Arthur flour

I use my Sunbeam Bread machine on the dough level.

I make a hill of the flour and put 1 package Fleishmann's Rapid Rise...at
    the top of the hill.

After the cycle it finished, I keep it rising in the bread machine until it
reaches the top of the unit.

I braid it and let it rise again in my oven.

I put a pand of water on the lower level, and bake it at 350 until golden
    brown.

I make two loaves every Friday morning.

    Thanks for the recipe.

Have you ever made it without a bread machine? Do amounts differ at all
if you do? With all that sugar, I'll be it toasts nicely,
That's not a very big recipe for two loaves -- they must be about hoagy
    bun size.
Do you use KA all purpose or bread flour?
