    ===========================================
    18 lbs overweight 10.8 + lbs overweight
    (According to DS Riis)

    Preparing for a difficult Same
    race in a little over a month

    Attempting to starve myself and
    train low-intensity to lose lard ???????

    Not in a prison or other Same
    controlled environment where
    food intake can be controlled.
    ===========================================

    JAN!!!! Don't make a boring TDF!! Lose the LARD!!!!!!!!!

    ============================================

    My suggestion: Hire a full time live-in monitor and have Jan weighed every 4 hours.
    Have a nutritionist on call.

    The when he says " I need zis Worst to keep my strength up"
    The handler calls the nutritionist who says
    " No you don't"

    I don't think we'll need to rely on Jan "Bier und Brats" Ullrich to make
    the TdF exciting. I think May, Hamilton (assuming Zulle doesn't crash
    him or run him over) and Heras will do a fine job of that, plus there's
    always the odd chance of some talent arising from unexpected quarters.

    "No you don't" isn't going to stop him as effecively as a cattle prod.

    Damn! Someone had **way** too much time on their hands. Not that I'm
    complaining, mind you...

    Not odd at all... it happens all the time. Usually someone who has done
    well in several races in the months leading up to the Tour, but didn't
    show up on radar screens as -that- kind of rider...
