  1. We are lucky enough to grow bananas here and when they "come in" you = have got to do something with
    them. Their like zucchini, the neighbors = only will take so much!

    My Banana Bread

    1/2 cup butter
    2/2 cup white sugar
    3/2 cup light brown sugar 2 eggs 3-4 ripe bananas, mashed 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 Tablespoons sour
    cream 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups flour 1 cup pecans, chopped

    Cream the butter and sugars thoroughly; add balance of ingredients in order given, bake in a loaf
    pan for 1 hr. in a 325 degree oven. Remove pan from oven when a toothpick inserted in the middle
    comes out clean. Let it rest in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lay out the loaf on it's side to
    cool completely.
