As advised - I'll soon be changing the oil in my new forks, as the "bedding in" period has almost finished. Also I'm convinced there is too much oil at the moment, because I am getting only about 75mm travel even with no air in them (and yes they are definitely the 105mm version).
Has anyone had any experience of doing this? Is it as simple as removing the tops of the forks with a socket, compressing them and draining off the old oil? I've managed to wade through the Marzocchi site and discovered I need to fill them with 135cc of oil for my weight.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciate, cheers.
I just removed the top caps and turn it upside down for draining, then filled it with the same amount of oil. I don't know if this is the way to do it but it certainly worked.
Check out the "windwave" web-site - I think they are the importers for Marzocchi into the UK - the address may be www.windwave.com. Somewhere on this site is a step-by-step illustrated guide of how to do this. Good luck. Great forks by the way - I've been running them for over a year - lovely smooth action. ETA great for uphills. I've hardly needed to put any air and run them at a bit lower than recommended for my weight for a smoother ride.
