  1. I have three bikes I ride. Mountain bike, knobbies, Schwinn hybrid, fine tread
    road tires, Spalding, slicks.

I have two places on my regular ride that go by a yard with dogs. When
I ride the mountain bike or the Schwinn the dogs run to the fence and
bark, not a threatening type of bark, just a bark.

When I ride the Spalding they just lay there and watch me go by.

One is only a half mile from the house and several times I have riden
by on different bikes within half hour or so just to comfirm that they
    won't bark at the Spalding.

    Is this strange or what?

  2. Yep, that is odd. It must be the sound of the bikes or tires causing the reaction...
