Hmm... Want to get into this mountain biking thing, but scared by such things as dirt, rain, bugs or hippies? (No, not THAT kind of hippy ๐ ) Well, get your well-toned [censored] down to Cleveland where you can MTB (must stand for 'metropolitan bike'๐ in an abandoned factory, complete with life-like montages to the wilderness that was chopped down and turned into chipboard to build the myriad of ramps and bridges contained therein..
If anything showed that 'mountain biking' was becoming less and less about 'biking on/around mountains', this is it. Forgive me if I continue my counter-cultural tendencies and continue to ride in the 'real world' (insert Matrix music here)... ๐

Still looks like fun though...
You just have to see it the same as indoor rock climbing centres; someplace to go when it is raining and/or too muddy. Probably guaranteed to have more chixs {:-).
And if it stops the little [censored] hacking down trees to build their ramps, etc, it is so much better.

It's currently -13degC in Cleveland.. I can sort of understand the logic behind the indoor thing and if it keeps the Northshore jump-grommets out of the woods all the better :-) Personally I'd love to ride in the snow.. this 'love' might only extend to one session of frost-bitten madness, but hey, them's the breaks!
