  1. I have a question for any experts: i am first and formost a criterium racer
and kilo track guy so i spend all of my time on a road bike with a road bike
bb width between the pedals...soooo...I just got back into mountain biking
after a little break and i have to say that the noticeable wider crank arms
were annoying and i didn't want in any way to risk adapting to that weird
position. My question is this: is there a way to run a road width setup on
a mtb? Perhaps like a road compact crankset? Is this weird? I can't be the
first person to have this question....
    Thanks in advance.

No mostly because the spacing differences between the road and MTB rear
    hubs.

More importantly, you can get used to switching back and forth without any
    problems.
