Hey New York City-dwellers...
As some of you already know, we're in the midst of planning and
building the first legal mountain bike trails in Manhattan and Queens.
In order to work hand-in-hand with NYC Parks on this project, several
of us have gotten together to form a mountain bike-specific association
for New York City- NYCMTB.
NYCMTB will be holding its first official organizational meeting on
January 19th, from 6-8 PM at the Neighborhood Preservation Center in
the East Village (232 E 11th Street #1 New York, NY 10003 (Btwn 2nd and
3rd Avenue, closest to 2nd Avenue, up one flight of stairs to the front
door)).
We'll be doing the nuts-and-bolts stuff for the first hour (the legal
stuff necessary to start the NYCMTB association), then spend the second
hour discussing design and planning of the Highbridge (Manhattan)
trails. If you're not interested in being a part of the founding of the
club, just show up at 7 for the Highbridge-specific stuff. Come with
your ideas and energy- we've got big plans, and need all the help we
can get...
Date: Thursday, January 19
Time: 6-8 PM
Place: Neighborhood Preservation Center, 232 E 11th Street #1 New York,
NY 10003 (Btwn 2nd and 3rd Avenue, closest to 2nd Avenue, up one flight
