just got back from a trip to prescott AZ where there is some really nice
single track in the national forest. borrowed my dad's bike and took off. it
is great to have hundreds of square miles of forest and desert to explore on
the trail! one thing i found was that i really missed my eggbeaters. he had
those toe cages and i kept getting stuck in them on the rough stuff and on
the very steep couldn't flip the pedal in time.
anyway week before last it was 10-25 degrees and dry, not bad for the climb
around thumb butte to sp overlook and then back down the other side. my new
hind wind jammer jacket was perfect! but last week it rained about 2.5
inches in one storm and the road was clay like riding in molasses (two
darwin award candidates drowned themselves trying to canoe the flood). a
good trip anyway cant wait to go back!
