I have an Ipod Shuffle and a Sandisk 256 mp3 player. I use the
Sandisk more often - it would remind you of a small USB drive that
plays mp3 files and has an FM radio. I like to change my playlists
every day, and with this player it's easy to add/remove songs and
create an ordered list. It comes with a plastic cover, an armband,
and headphones. Good battery life ( one AAA battery ). I run with the
player in the front inside pocket of my running shorts, so far no
problems at all. Since it's a flash drive player, it never skips. I
did upgrade the headphones.
They make a 512 mb version but my runs are less than 4hrs, so the 256
mb version was ideal. I payed $89 for it at Circuit City, I believe
and have since seen it for $79. I like the iPod Shuffle for other
things, but for runs I prefer the Sandisk.

Rio Cali, not any of the other models. Water/sweat resistant, FM radio,
very light weight, good product.
