OK, when I was a kid I tried our dog's Milk Bone biscuits (mostly cereal-tasting). Here is a report that takes dog food taste-testing way beyond that (with a bit of cat food for comparison):

When I was a kid, we unpacked the shopping including a box of 'new improved taste' cat food. My father looked at that and wondered how anyone could determine that. Easy: I ripped the box open and popped a couple of pieces in my mouth. Didn't think it was improved over the previous version. My poor father turned slightly green and never asked such questions again LOL.
