I know what you're thinking -- there must have been food residue in it -- but you're wrong. The varmint seems to have been attracted to a MasterLock combo cable that I kept in there. It ate the rubber coating off half the length of cable. Must be a mighty tasty coating. Maybe I'll try the other half myself. Should I use barbecue sauce, or teriyaki?

The real issue is that since it's a low-temp synthetic you can't use any hot-application products.
