Hey all,
For Christmas my wife gave me a HAC4 cyclometer (nice!). However I have a small issue. I'm running
Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels with bladed spokes which the magnet mount does not fit (requires round
spokes). So the only locations the magnet will mount is either at the very top near the nipple, or
at the very bottom near the hub. At the top, the magnet is too far away from the fork mounted device
(should equal to or less than .1 inches distant). At the bottom, the fork mounted device and magnet
are both too far from the handlebar mounted (or wrist worn) computer (should be within 24 inches).
It comes to about 25 inches and is so close to the hub that about a full 1/5 of the wheel rotation
has the magnet and other device lined up... not sure if that matters or not.
I tried mounting everything to the location near the hub. The computer does not register any
information (miles, speed, etc). I have not even tried mountain it closer to the rim/nipple since
the distance between the magnet and fork mount is somewhere around 1.5 to 2 inches.
Before I take a couple small washers (bracing the spoke between them) and electrical tape to mount
the magnet somewhere halfway up, does anyone else have any suggestions?
Oh, and yes... I already went through all the configurations for the computer before I even thought
about mounting it.
Thanks!
