1. i am gonig to purchase a mountain bike helmet and was wondering what is the coolest looking one out there for less than US$100? I like the fit of the bells, but have only tried on a bell and a specialized helmet. does anyone know how other brands helmets fit compared to bell? i want as low of a profile xc helmet as possible.

    cheers

  2. I use a Giro Havoc and i'm pretty happy with it,my main reason for choosing it a couple of years ago was the fingertouch tightning rock loc system and of course price. But nearly all helmits come out with the quick adjusters these days. And the price of the bell hemits have dropped.

the top end mets are quite low profile. the top end giro freeride helmet is quite low profile as helmets go as well and is sturdy (cant remember the name).

I didn't like the havoc and have got a giro animas which is quite bulky. will be getting a met parachute next up as i want the chin protection.
