  1. I live in hte UK and have £250 to spend on a new Bike, preferably a hard
tail with front suspension. Any suggesions.

Let us know what you are planning on using it for. If you're going to be
doing off road riding in any quantity it might well be worth saving up a bit
longer and getting into the £300+ bracket, which has a lot more to offer
you. Go to a few local bike shops and ask about the differences between
bikes in those price ranges, and ask to try riding some. Good luck.

Go down the newsagents and get an Ad-mag. Read the bike section for a few
weeks and you'll find an ad along the lines of "[Insert brand name here]
mountain bike, only ridden twice, cost £600, £200 OVNO". Go and have a look,
and if it has genuinely only been ridden a few times, buy it.

If that is the max you want to spend have a look at this
    http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/SCHWINN2001.htm

Browse on the site and see what he has, delivers UK wide for pretty cheap
    ( 15 quid I think)

    max
