Most lakes visible from one spot?

searches but any likely combination of words throws up thousands of
posts.

Not all meet your criteria but, according to Wainwright, from Seat
Sandal one can see:
Ullswater
Windermere (two sections)
Blelham Tarn
Wise Een Tarn
Alcock Tarn
Esthwaite Water
Grasmere
Coniston Water
Easedale Tarn
Thirlmere

and Grisedale Tarn can be seen by walking 150 yards from the summit.

If you drop the limitation to the Lake District, the highest number
of decent-sized lakes from one spot I could offer is seven:

The four in the photograph are Llyn Egnant, Llyn Hir, Llyn y Gorlan
(behind Llyn Hir) and Llyn Teifi, all part of the Teifi pools reservoir
system in west Wales. There's another one just right (west) outside
the photo. From the same spot, Llyn Fyrddon Fawr (behind) and Fach
(to the right) are also visible. It may be possible to squeeze in
another one to the left (east) by going a little higher up.

If you drop the limitation to the Lake District I suggest that somewhere
overlooking the lower reaches of Assynt be considered, or perhaps a hill
in Harris overlooking south Lewis.

Well, thanks one & all for the answers. As, like John Dawson above, I
live in Kendal I'm more likely to head for the Lake District than Wales
or the Western Isles, but I'll bear them in mind.
As for Seat Sandal, I'll nip up in the next week or two to have a count
for myself. I should have known Wainwright would have got there first.
Nice to know, but it does take the thrill out of the hunt. I was
rather hoping no one knew but everyone on the group had a theory - it
would have been fun tracking them all down.
